LAN say yes to sustainability with IWCA Silver Membership

Bodegas LAN has taken a decisive step forward in its sustainability policy by joining the International Wineries for Climate Action (IWCA) as a Silver Member.

The IWCA is a global association of wineries dedicated to reducing carbon emissions in the wine sector and recognised for its high standards of environmental certification.

The winery has set itself an ambitious Net Zero target for 2050, joining a group of leaders in sustainability.

LAN is committed to producing a third-party verified greenhouse gas emissions inventory covering direct emissions from its operations (Scope 1, 13%), indirect emissions from energy consumption (Scope 2, 9%) and emissions across the entire value chain (Scope 3, 79%). The winery guarantees continuous reductions per litre of wine produced and has set interim targets for 2030, in line with the United Nations’ Race to Zero campaign.

By joining this initiative, Bodegas LAN reinforces its sustainability strategy and positions itself as one of the wine companies most committed to climate action at a global level.
