VARIETY

92% tempranillo, 4% mazuelo and 4% garnacha. Yes to understandable complexity, yes to renewed traditions.

VINEYARD

Selected vineyards from Rioja Alta and Rioja Alavesa, aged between 20 and 30 years in chalky clay soils. Estates that are blessed with the ideal conditions to create iconic wines.

VINTAGE

In 2018, the winter was cold, and it rained more than usual. The vineyard grew vigorously in an Atlantic year. The Rioja Regulatory Council called it a “Good vintage”. We say: it’s the moment to surprise yourself.

PRODUCTION AND AGING

The difficult thing is harvesting by hand, fermenting and ageing the wine for 22 months in mixed barrels. The easy thing is to perceive how the intensity of the fruit and the aromatic complexity merge in every sip. The wine spends another 22 months resting in the bottle, and you should do the same: relax, enjoy it and let yourself be carried away.

TASTING NOTES

COLOUR: Bright, deep cherry red with garnet rims that signify patience and time.
NOSE: A complex symphony of black fruits and hedgerow berries dancing to notes of vanilla and spices, inviting you to go on a sensory journey.
PALATE: As approachable and silky upon entry as it is broad, memorable and long-lasting. Just like the very best moments in life.
